Port of Seattle, Terminal 30 Upgrade

Port of Seattle decided to move cruise ships to Terminal 91 and redevelop Terminal 30 for use as a container facility. This required construction of a new 1,550 feet of apron for new 100-foot-gauge PPM high speed cranes.

Elcon’s electrical work included:

  • Apron power for Cranes and Alternative Marine Power (AMP)
  • Power for communication distribution systems
  • Development of electrical construction phasing to ensure continuous operation of the yard
  • New 26kV Seattle City Light Substation
  • Coordination with Seattle City Light.
  • New Reefer rack installation for 144 new Reefer outlets
