Port of Seattle, Terminal 30 Upgrade

Seattle, Washington

Converting Terminal 30 from a cruise ship terminal to a container terminal required the addition of 1550 ft. of apron. Elcon provided electrical design for a new 26kV Substation; 6.6 kV infrastructure for future Alternative Marine Power (AMP, Cold Ironing, Shore Power); a 13.8kV substation to power the cranes; 144 new reefer outlets; a high mast lighting system; and coordination of electrical service from Seattle City Light.  Elcon phased the electrical construction to ensure continuous power to operate the yard.
