Nine Canyon Wind Farm

• The Elcon team designed an 115kV transmission line to deliver power from the Nine Canyon Wind Farm to Bonneville Power Administration’s 115kV transmission system. The design included plan and profile drawings, material lists, stringing instructions and staking sheets.
• Elcon also worked closely with the Benton PUD to provide civil and structural design for the new Nine Canyon Wind Farm Substation. The project included two 115 – 34.5kV transformers, a 115kV line position, 34.5kV collector positions and two positions for capacitor banks. Oil spill containment was included in the design.
• The Nine Canyon Wind Farm now has a 95.9 MW capacity.
