Transmission Line Study for Warm Springs Biomass Power Plant

• Elcon assisted Warm Springs Power & Water Enterprises in selecting the route of the transmission line and developing permits for an 18 MW Biomass Plant.
• Once the route was selected, aerial surveying was completed by Finley Engineering.
• Elcon determined that the transmission line should be a 795 kcm ASCR, 230kV line. The 230kV line construction will allow direct connection into the 230kV bus at Portland General Electric’s Round Butte substation.
• The line will provide additional capacity that may be used for future generation projects.
