Vernonia Substation

Vernonia, Oregon

• This project includes the design of a new substation consisting of 4-3.33 MVA, 34.5-7.2kV transformers and 4-12.5kV feeder positions.
• This new substation is located outside of the flood plain and it replaces an existing West Oregon Electric Cooperative substation located in the City of Vernonia flood plain.
• In addition to the design of the substation, Elcon was responsible for design of modifications of the 34kV transmission line and underground feeders required to integrate the substation feeders into the existing feeder system.
