Portland Streetcar Loop Project

The Portland Streetcar Loop Project in Portland, Oregon is a 3.3 mile extension of the existing and highly successful Portland Streetcar Project. The Loop Project extends streetcar tracks, stations, and service from the Pearl District in NW Portland, across the existing Broadway Bridge, serving the eastern half of the Portland Central City.
During the project development phase, Elcon provided system design including cost estimating, preliminary study including traction power requirements and OCS design alternatives, as well as signal engineering. During the final design phase, Elcon provided the complete construction contract document including plans, specification cost estimate for the OCS, traction Power, train control and corrosion control design.
