Fourth Street Bridge Retrofit

ELCON was responsible for the design of electrical modifications to the existing bridge to meet current codes and regulations.
Electrical design included replacement of existing wound rotor motors with squirrel cage motors, a modern drive control system, installation of a new PLC based control system and PA and CCTV systems.
We were also responsible for designing the OCS system for light rail operation with provisions for future trolley buses and for providing structural calculations and supports for three portals to support OCS wires.
