Additional Project Experience

	STIA Satellite Transit System Renovation Seattle, WA ELCON was responsible for design of power distribution lighting, fire alarms, access control, security checkpoints, CCTV and public address systems. Our team was awarded the 2003 Edwin F. Guth Memorial Award for Interior Lighting Design for this project.

	Sacramento AMTRAK/Folsom Light Rail Extension Sacramento, CA The Folsom extension project includes an eight-mile extension from Sunrise to Historic Downtown Folsom. The project also includes a 0.7 mile double-track extension to the Amtrak Station at 4th and I streets via 7th/8th and H Street. The grand opening for this extension was October 15, 2005. We provided the following services; computer load flow simulation study, traction power substation & OCS design, design of existing substation upgrades to 2MW in downtown areas, Wayside distribution and systems ductbank design and construction support.

	Capitol Light Rail Extension Santa Clara, CA The Capitol Light Rail extends approximately 3.8-miles along Capitol Avenue, connecting to the Tasman East light rail line. The light rail configuration includes dual track with center traction power poles. The extension includes five stations with four park & ride lots. We were responsible for a computer load-flow simulation study, and design of the following; train control/signaling, traction power substation, overhead contact system, communications and SCADA, track and street lighting, wayside distribution/systems ductbank, electrical facilities and construction support.

	Portland Interstate MAX Light Rail Portland, OR ELCON was responsible for complete management of traction electrification system elements including substation design, OCS, corrosion control, substation design and modifications, preparation of RFTP, specifications, drawings and cost estimates. In addition, we provided traction power design, and substation design including utility interface, grounding, feeder cabling plan, conduit/ductbank design and equipment specifications.
